How to use your words wisely

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, Use your words wisely takes effort as it means to  speak with great care and consideration, especially so as to avoid causing trouble or offense. Did you know that using your words wisely determines the outcome of your conversation? If you use negative words, your conversation will end up on a negative note. If you use positive words, your conversation will end up on a positive note. Proverbs 27:19 says, “…so the heart reflects the real person.” and “…for whatever is in your heart determines what you say.” (Matthew 12:34). Are your words reflecting the real you? James 3:10 says, “And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!”. Find rest in the presence of the Lord

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers,  "REST - Allow God to restore, replenish, and refocus your heart and mind." Author unknown Have you ever felt worried, stressed, or anxious? If so, you may have experienced side effects affecting mood (sadness or depression, feeling overwhelmed, lack of motivation or focus), body (upset stomach, muscle tension, sleeping problems), and behavior (overeating or undereating)? It's in these moments is where we all need to make time to rest. If we don't rest, from time to time, we will wear out, and with wearing out comes the physical impact on the mind, body, and spirit, BUT resting rejuvenates us! How to set realistic goals.

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers,  Last week, I shared how to write down your lifestyle changes effectively. Today, I am sharing how to set realistic goals for those lifestyle change(s) you wrote down that you want to work on. Let's first talk about what a realistic goal means. A realistic goal is a goal you can achieve when there is an alignment with your (positive) mindset, motivation level (commitment to the goal),  timeframe (short-term, mid-term, long-term), along with using your God-given skills and abilities for God's glory.  Now, that you have written down your lifestyle changes, let's work on setting you up with the SMART goal concept to assist in achieve your realistic goals. There is a specific SMART goal concept that is easy to adapt: S (Specific): This step is the "What do you want to accomplish?" step.
