Merry Christmas from Brave Hearted Ministry

Image
Merry Christmas to all of the Brave Hearted Steppers and their families! Today, we celebrate more than a holiday - we celebrate the miracle of God's love made visible through Jesus Christ. Christmas reminds us that God keeps His promises. In a world that feels uncertain (at times), the birth of Jesus declares hope has arrived, light has broken through the darkness, and love has come near. Emmanuel (Jesus) entered the world quietly, yet His presence changed everything. What seemed small and ordinary became the doorway to eternal redemption for us all. At Brave Hearted Ministry, we are reminded this season that Brave Hearted courage often begins with trust. Mary said YES. Joseph OBEYED. Shepherds WENT. Wise men FOLLOWED. Each Brave Hearted step of faith played a role in God's greater story. In the same way, God calls us to live Brave Heartedly and faithful lives - trusting Him over fear, following His ways over our comfort, and loving with courage instead of holding back. As yo...

BRAVE VISION: Choosing Obedience Over Comfort by Rev. Maria Guzman

Proverbs 3:5–6 — “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding…” Dear Brave Hearted Steppers, There are moments in life when God’s direction doesn’t challenge our faith—it challenges our comfort. This is often the case when He leads us through a job transition. Recently, I found myself at one of those crossroads. A new job opportunity came before me—not out of pressure, but through a season of prayer, discernment, and reflection. The decision required me to trust God beyond what felt familiar and to move forward even when every detail was not fully settled. Comfort Is Not the Same as Alignment A job can be comfortable—predictable, familiar, and stable. But comfort does not always mean alignment. Sometimes God allows us to grow comfortable so we can recognize when it’s time to move. As I prayed through this decision, it became clear that what once fit my season no longer aligned with where God was leading me personally and professionally. That realization...

Brave Vision - When God Opens Your Eyes to What You Cannot Yet See by Rev. Maria Guzman

Image
"For we live by believing and not by seeing." 2 Corinthians 5:7 NLT Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, We have entered a season where God is calling each of us to look beyond what are natural eyes can see. As we Brave Heartedly step into the final weeks of 2025, many of us are reflecting on prayers prayed, victories celebrated, and other things including the challenges we faced. Yet, through it all, one truth remains unshakably clear:  Walking with God requires vision, not just eyesight. The Difference Between Eyesight and Vision Eyesight sees the reality.  Vision sees opportunities. Eyesight sees obstacles. Vision sees opportunities. Eyesight sees what is happening now. Vision sees what God is preparing next. When Paul wrote, “For we live by believing and not by seeing,” he wasn’t calling us to ignore our circumstances—he was calling us to interpret life through the lens of Brave Hearted faith . Sight will report what is, but vision aligns you with what God says will be. This mo...

Brave Vision - A New Perspective for a New Season by Pastora Yolanda Hernandez

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, Every new season is more than a shift on the calendar—it’s an invitation from God. Scripture reminds us that “to everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). When God ushers us into a new season, He often brings a fresh perspective along with it—one designed to shape us, stretch us, and draw us closer to Him. Letting Go So God Can Lead Just as trees release their leaves in autumn, God often calls us to release what cannot go with us into the next chapter. Sometimes it’s a habit. Sometimes it’s a mindset. Sometimes it’s a wound we’ve held onto for too long. Surrender isn’t loss—it’s obedience. And on the other side of obedience is freedom. Ask God, “What are You inviting me to let go of so I can walk forward with You?” Seeing Through God’s Eyes A new perspective begins with a simple prayer: “Lord, help me see this season the way You see it.” When we shift our gaze from our circumstances to God’s faithful...
