Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, Proverbs 16:9 (NIV) - "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." This verse reminds us that while we may have plans and expectations for our lives, ultimately, it is in God's hands to guide us in unexpected directions. Embracing the unexpected means trusting in God's guidance and knowing that His plans for us may lead us down paths we did not foresee. Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says  the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.   Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you” (Genesis 22:2). Have you ever been put in a predicament where God has asked you to sacrifice the very thing you hold dear to your heart?  Did you hold back? Did you refuse to do what was asked of you? Did you try asking God continuously “WHY?” You see like Abraham, God asked him to sacrifice his son. As a father, how do you think he must have felt in that moment? God had given Issac to him, and now he wants his son as an offering. God’s command to sacrifice Isaac was to test Abraham’s faith. God’s test is to prove, purify, and strengthen our faith. Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, "Stay on the path that the LORD your God has commanded you to follow." Deuteronomy 5:33 NLT As I came across this topic, it reminded me of something I did last year. I have to say, to an extent, I am afraid of heights. I say to an extent as I love to go on roller coasters, but looking down from a high altitude stops me in my tracks and paralyzes me with fear. As God inspired the title of this ministry "Brave Hearted", since then, I've had to replace my fears with "Brave Heartedly, I'm going to..." Last year, for my birthday, I decided to go on a ropes course. The ropes course is ABOVE ground. Now, when looking at it from a distance, I said to myself, "I can do this!" Of note, this ropes course can only be done individually as there are two challenges to choose from whether you want you want the challenge to be easier or tougher as you go until the end of the course.
