BRAVE RESILIENCE: FAITH THAT ENDURES by Erika Gonzalez

Image
Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, You know, even though the Bible doesn’t use the word “resilience” directly, we can clearly find its principle: the ability to rise after adversity, remain firm in faith, and persevere through trials. “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” (James 1:12) In life, we all face seasons of difficulty—losses, unexpected challenges, closed doors, and silences that seem endless. In those moments, the faith we claim to have is put to the test. It’s not about avoiding pain but learning to walk through it with hope. The Bible reminds us that the one who endures the trial not only comes out stronger but also receives God’s promise: the crown of life. Biblical resilience isn’t just about “holding on” or “being strong” in our own strength—it’s about standing firm in Christ, trusting His faithfulness and the reward He gives to those wh...

Blessings to all the Brave Hearted Steppers, Resilience is the ability to strive even when everything around you is falling apart. This is the one who doesn’t wilt when everything else around them is dark and dry for resilience to take place. You cannot be afraid to be different. Those shackles need to break free. It’s the very act of giving God the last of you, and doing so passionately. There’s nothing else that shakes up heaven and earth than his creation selflessly worshipping the king of kings with burning passion like there is no tomorrow.  While the world is falling apart, my king prepared a seat for me to sit at his table. What is it going to take?  Sure, it’s easy to blend in with the others. Yeah, sure, you can pretend not to know Jesus and make a mockery of God singing for your worldly passion, mix the truth with your own truth, fornicate, lie, and tear up the sacred temple of God, which is your body, with people who don’t see the value in it. As you pretend,...

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, James 1:12 “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. Did you notice that James in this verse says, “having stood the test”. What powerful words that gives us, the idea that it is not about fleeting or hiding in moments where you need to show courage, but it is about the steady endurance that time will not shake off. It is not being brave for a moment; but enduring the pressure, the threats and anything else that the enemy throws at us to paralyze us from moving forward. That detains us from accomplishing goals and dreams. There is a saying that time is of essence, and it is so true because it is time that reveals whether our faith is built on sand or on the Rock who never moves. It is time that proves whether we trust God only for the moment or for our entire life. The fire of life is real. It comes in many forms—loss, bet...

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” — James 1:12 Life is rarely a straight path. Each of us faces moments that test our strength, our faith, and our courage. These trials—whether they come in the form of personal loss, setbacks in our careers, health challenges, or relational struggles, etc.—can feel overwhelming. Yet, it is in these very moments that Brave Resilience is born. Brave Resilience is not just about enduring hardships; it is about standing strong in Brave Hearted faith while facing them. It’s the quiet, unwavering courage to trust God’s plan even when the road seems uncertain. James 1:12 reminds us that there is blessing in perseverance. The trials we encounter are not random; they are opportunities for growth, for deepening our faith, and for proving the strength of our hearts. Think of resilience as a muscl...

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers!! Welcome October! Can you believe we are almost towards the end of this year?!! I don’t know about you— but as for me, every time it gets closer to a year coming to a close, I always take time to reflect on the things that have transpired in my life. I think about all the trials I went through and I think about how God delivered me. I think about the lessons I’ve learned and the areas in which I’ve matured in my walk with God. I’m a person who doesn’t like confrontation. I’ve never been one who fought in school and arguing with people was not my best quality. I would be that person who would ignore or walk away from hard situations because to me—it’s easier that way. The funny part about it is that—as a believer I know who I’m fighting against but I also know who is on my side and who fights my battles! Not only that, but I also know that if I stick this out…..there is a reward for me once the fight is over. Knowing that at the end of this fight in life, G...
