BRAVE RESILIENCE: Firm in the Fire by Pastora Yolanda Hernandez

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers,

James 1:12 “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

Did you notice that James in this verse says, “having stood the test”. What powerful words that gives us, the idea that it is not about fleeting or hiding in moments where you need to show courage, but it is about the steady endurance that time will not shake off.

It is not being brave for a moment; but enduring the pressure, the threats and anything else that the enemy throws at us to paralyze us from moving forward. That detains us from accomplishing goals and dreams.

There is a saying that time is of essence, and it is so true because it is time that reveals whether our faith is built on sand or on the Rock who never moves. It is time that proves whether we trust God only for the moment or for our entire life.

The fire of life is real. It comes in many forms—loss, betrayal, sickness, financial strain, or the quiet battles no one else sees. Fire will test us, exposes us, and threatens to consume us. Yet, in the very place where heat is not easy to handle, brave resilience rises, and faith proves its worth.

When we look back on trials and difficult times that we have endured we see the truth that rises in front of us, what is meant to break us, derail us, detain us, God will use it to build us.

Yes, I assure you that along the way you will encounter times of questions, times of hiding in a cave, and times of frustrations. But what are you supposed to do during these times, GIVE UP or KEEP WALKING. If God is for us who can be against us? So, my posture and my position during these hard times is just keep walking. Do not let go of God’s hand because your testimony to others is very important. It shows as you keep on walking through the season of fire that you trust the Lord and know that through it God is just doing what He knows best to do by strengthening us.

When you have resilience and braveness at the same time it lets others know that:

1. You will stand in this fire.

2.You will keep standing as long as it takes.

3.Your faith will remain even when the fire fades.

Do not forget that fire does two things: it destroys what is temporary, and it refines what is true. When we walk through the fire with God, our fear, doubt, and false securities are burned away, but our faith emerges purer, stronger, and radiant.

Being firm in the fire doesn’t mean we won’t feel the heat. It means we anchor ourselves in God’s unshakable presence. His presence in the fire is what makes us resilient.

If you are facing the fire today, hold this truth: the fire that was meant to destroy you may be the very fire God uses to display His glory through you. Stand firm. Endure bravely. And know that the flames will not consume you—for He is with you in the fire.

Prayer:
Father in the name of Jesus I will stand the test that is before me. Help me stay strong, firm and with the confident that you are with me in the fire, I do not stand alone. Amen

Be blessed,
Pastora Yolanda Hernandez
