  Blessings to all the Brave Hearted Steppers out there, Accountability is a strong word. It gives us both a role and responsibility. At times, accountability comes with being judged by others, and your own mind will make you doubt yourself. The real question is, do you care more about what people say or what God says?  We all have accountability. That can be leadership or a role at church or as a student and employee. We are all given a role in society. Your specific role allows someone else to do their job as well. But you have to be brave enough to be judged by others, seen on the good and bad days. You can’t drop everything when things get difficult.  One of the strongest demonstrations of accountability is simply showing up.  Imagine getting a phone call for an appointment and thinking “yeah I’ll call back later “you end up not showing up. The doctor was going to give you a treatment that could heal you but you did not show up.  That’s exactly what happens ...

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers!  Let me start off by saying, wow! This topic of choice for the month was very challenging for me at first. That is, until I found out through my study time what it really means. It's about staying connected to a community of believers.  Can I just tell you how grateful I am for my community of believers? With me living in a new state for close to a year now, I definitely did not start off with having that community. But God!  It can sometimes feel as if we are alone in this world without the body of Christ and that's exactly how it felt. Coming to live in a new state, all I had at first was my best friend from High school and at first, she did not know the Lord.  I was being challenged each day for a few months to push through adversity.   Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, Proverbs 27:17: “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” As we walk through the pages of the Bible, many books, letters, chapters, and verses really catch our attention. The way that God talks to us through His word is outstanding, especially in this time that we are experiencing. Times of challenges and times that, if you are not grounded in the Word, it will derail you from the presence of God. But this verse truly is an eye-opener because it reminds us that we are not meant to walk alone. It shows us clearly that growth, maturity, and strength are developed best when we live in relationship with God and with one another. And who does not want to grow, mature, and be strengthened as we walk in the kingdom? As we encounter every day the goodness of a merciful Father.
