(Psalm 51:12, NIV) Joy dictionary definition:  a feeling of great pleasure and happiness. In the Lord, it is a profound sense of happiness and contentment that comes from knowing God, being in His presence, experiencing His salvation, and living in the hope of His promises. It is a joy that transcends circumstances and is rooted in the divine relationship with the Creator. When I think about the many stories of King David, those in which he would describe his deep intense feelings toward the Lord, I try to imagine how that must have felt.  How, even through his many trials and disappointments with Saul He never wavered in his trust and Love of God.   The one thing that stands out when I try to understand in my own heart what I define as joy, I thought about my children, their births, and how it made me feel to become a mom, how I understood gratitude ...

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, Surrendering to God has always been a challenging journey for me. I'm referring to a complete and genuine surrender, where I offer my heart and everything I hold dear to God. In my quest to cultivate this surrendered heart. In my case, I had to learn the hard way! Why so?  I learned that surrendering and trusting God was my only hope and chance for my life to change for the better. It was not easy but it’s all worth it! Trusting and surrendering to God means placing our faith and reliance on Him completely. It involves acknowledging that God is in control and surrendering our own desires, plans, and outcomes to His perfect will. It requires letting go of our own understanding and submitting to His wisdom and guidance. Trusting and surrendering to God also means entrusting Him with our fears, worries, and burdens, knowing that He is faithful and capable of taking care of us.   Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, Choosing joy is a deliberate act of faith. It involves letting God take the reins of our lives, guiding our Brave Hearted steps, and managing our feelings and emotions. When we surrender to God’s sovereignty, we find that His joy becomes our stronghold. As Proverbs 17:22 (NLT) says, “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.” This guide aims to provide you with practical steps and biblical wisdom to help you cultivate a life of joy. Recognize the Source of Joy: Joy comes from the Lord, and acknowledging this truth is the first step. Nehemiah 8:10 (NLT) reminds us, “Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” When we focus on God’s goodness and His love for us, our perspective shifts from our problems to His promises. Choose Joy Over Complaint: Choosing joy means actively deciding not to dwell on the negatives. Remember that joy can be your remedy when faced with pain, tiredness, etc....

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, No matter how you look at it - flourishing points back to growth.  But flourishing like a Brave Hearted stepper points back to doing it AFRAID.  😱  I know that you’ve heard this phrase so often lately - but my question to you is - have you had to live this very truth out in your life recently, or at any point? Because growth always happens outside of your comfort zone. And to land there - you must endure the FEAR that comes with it.  I know that I haven’t been the only one lately who has been challenged to reach beyond my own height or to trust beyond my comprehension. I know that many of us can relate - and maybe some of us are currently confronting this moment in our lives.  Let me comfort you in saying - DO IT AFRAID.  Because there is something that I want to make you aware of - and it is this - FEAR doesn’t mean void of the WILL OF GOD! I hope you heard that - and if not - let me say it louder for those people in the back...
