Peace by Cherice Hernandez
Hello Brave Hearted Steppers,
John 14:27. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid
In this season it’s so easy to get lost in the things we have and what we don’t have. It’s so easy to lose focus on God because of all the stress - worry and anxiety that arises in these times.
But, one thing is for sure in this season we need to walk and speak John 14:27.
If we don’t understand that Jesus has left us with his perfect peace that surpasses all understanding, then we leave room for chaos to make a way in our lives.
When we have that close connection to God, we can experience peace even during the most challenging circumstances, because “We know that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).
Peace is possible in this season - peace is possible in your tough moments - in your lack - in your anxiety- in your sorrows! His peace overcomes the troubled heart. Regardless of how loud the world may seem today - let that not be a reason it derails you from his heart and the peace you have access to.
In Isaiah 26:3, the Bible promises that God “will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
Today, if you choose to keep your mind steadfast because you are choosing to trust in God. Then you can count on experiencing perfect peace while they do so. That means you can enjoy how peace as long as you focus your mind from beyond your circumstances to God, and trust him to help you no matter what.
Choosing to keep your mind on Christ and the peace he offers us doesn’t remove the problem but it makes the problem easier to move past. Because now you understand you aren’t alone and you can do all things through Christ. Regardless of how things may seem you’ve come to an understanding that God is In control. So today, run after the father - ask him to help you - welcome his peace in your life. He knows what’s best for us.
Prayer for Peace:
Lord, I come before your presence. Thanking you for all you have done and all you’ve already done. Thank you for your perfect peace - thank you because if it weren’t for you we would not have access to the peace you give.
Lord, you know the situations people are going through - you know the ins and outs. But, Lord today I just want to pray for those who are trouble-minded - for those enduring tough situations that do not allow them to focus on your peace.
I pray tonight that you will fill them with your peace and that you meet them right where they are. That you remind them of your goodness - that you remind them that they belong to you.
I pray that no matter how hard their situation may be or what it feels like, that they remember who they walk with and that’s with you Jesus. I pray that you just begin to turn their situations - their mindsets around and that they would use these moments to seek you like never before so they can truly know your heart.
Lord, today I rebuke all plans of the enemy and anything that attempts to take away their peace. I declare that no weapon will prosper over their lives and their minds.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
