Seek after God with all your heart by Maria Guzman
Hello Brave Hearted Steppers and Happy New Year!
The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11-14 NLT “11For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. 14I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.” Bolded scripture for emphasis.
We all have relationships with our husband, child(ren), grandchild(ren), family, friends, the Body of Christ, neighbors, coworkers, and that is what God is looking for from you too. If you look through the Bible, God created unique relationships, intimacy, safety, a trust, and God wants that with you too, to really know Him (you will discover how real and present He is in your life), for you to trust Him (Proverbs 3:5 NLT) and His plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT).
To seek after God with all your heart means to cultivate not only a relationship but a deep relationship with Him. This kind of relationship would require setting your mind and heart on Him (1 Chronicles 22:19 ESV), desiring more of Him (His presence), drawing near to Him (James 4:8), spending time with Him in prayer (He will listen-Jeremiah 29:12 NLT), fasting (Matthew 6:16-18 NLT), reading and applying the word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17), praise and worship (Psalm 29:2, Psalm 6:9, Psalm 34:1, Psalm 100:2, John 4:23, Hebrews 13:15), keeping your Faith active (Hebrews 11:1, 2 Corinthians 5:7), loving God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength (Mark 12:30), your obedience to Him (Deuteronomy 28:1-14), and fellowship with the Body of Christ (Hebrews 10:25 NLT). In addition, the Bible says in Psalm 9:10 NLT, “Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” This verse reassures you that those Brave Hearted Steppers who pursue relentlessly in seeking God, you will find him!
How many Brave Hearted Steppers are ready to go on a Brave Hearted Pursuit of Relentlessly Seeking God and cultivating a deeper relationship like never before? My answer is YES! What is your answer?
Lord Jesus, thank you in advance for depositing this topic into my heart and being able to share it with the Brave Hearted Steppers all around the world. I pray you will help them every Brave Hearted step of the way in cultivating a deep relationship with you as they seek after you with all of their heart. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Many Blessings,
