Starting the New Year with God's Guidance by Lissette Camacho

 

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers!

Happy New Year! What a fantastic way to kick off the year by centering our focus on Psalm 119:105!

“Your word is a lamp that gives light wherever I walk.” Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭105‬ ‭CEV‬‬

I recently moved from Puerto Rico to Oklahoma, arriving with nothing. I’m placing my trust in God to guide me through this new chapter.

Having supportive friends is a true blessing, but my ultimate trust lies in the Lord. Whenever I feel discouraged, I seek solace in prayer and Scripture.

I trust that as I turn to the Word of God, embracing its encouragement and guidance, I will find peace and clarity for my journey.

Beginning a new year is never simple, but it does offer the chance for a fresh start—an opportunity that comes with the arrival of a new chapter.

It offers you the chance to start fresh, to turn the page, and to seek God's guidance on what He desires for us to do in this new phase.

To embrace change, we must place our trust in His word. Isaiah 43:19 says it this way:

“Look! Now I will do something that is new! It is already beginning to happen. Surely, you can recognize it. Yes, I will make a road through the desert. I will make streams in the wilderness.” Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭19‬ ‭EASY‬‬

You see, when we start to believe that God is absent, His word reassures us that He is indeed present.

God is a God of new beginnings. His Word assures us that His mercy is renewed each day.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations‬ ‭3‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭ESV‬‬

No one promised it would be simple, but rest assured, He will pave the path for you! In Isaiah 43:19, we are reminded that even in challenging times, He is at work, creating new possibilities.

As you embark on this new year, take comfort in knowing that God is by your side. That He will never leave you nor forsake you.

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭31‬:‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Embrace this new year with joy and optimism! Remember, wherever you go, He is by your side, guiding your journey.

That is my hope as I begin this new chapter in my life—trusting in God and letting His word guide my path.

He assures us in His Word that He is always with us, no matter where we may go. As we step into this new year, find comfort in that promise, for He who has promised is faithful.

“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.” Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Join me in declaring this: God is faithful. This year, no matter what challenges I face, He will be by my side and will always bring about a resolution—in Jesus name.

Stay hopeful in knowing this:

“We know that God helps those people who love him. He uses everything that happens to them to bring something good. He does this for the people that he has chosen to serve him.” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬ ‭EASY‬‬
