BRAVE HEARTED LOVE: THE BRAVE HEARTED CHASE by Maria Guzman

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers,

This month's theme is Brave Hearted Love, this topic really impacted me, especially on what it means to have a Brave Hearted chase in our love for God. I truly hope the Brave Hearted Love Life Applications shared throughout this month have been a blessing to your lives, just as they have been to mine.

We all know that our life is a journey—one that demands courage, strength, and a love that refuses to quit. As we walk through the ups and downs of life, our love for God is not merely a passive feeling but an active, Brave Hearted pursuit. It’s a chase—a passionate, relentless run toward Him, despite the obstacles we may encounter. This Brave Hearted Love is what defines us as followers of Christ, as we seek His presence, His heart, and His will for our lives.

Today, I would like to share what it means to have Brave Hearted Love and how we can passionately chase after God with all we are, standing strong no matter any challenges we may be facing.

The Call to Pursue God with a Brave Heart

We are called to love God with everything we have—heart, soul, and mind. This isn’t a love that’s just easy or convenient; it’s a love that requires courage, passion, and perseverance. To embrace Brave Hearted Love means we choose to face life’s hardships, doubts, and fears with unwavering faith, trusting that God is always worth the pursuit.

Jesus calls us to love God with all that we are, as He says in Matthew 22:37:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” – Matthew 22:37 (NIV)

This command doesn’t just apply when life is calm and peaceful; it challenges us to love Him even through the struggles, the uncertainties, and the storms. It's about chasing after Him with everything we’ve got—not because it's easy, but because He is worthy of every Brave Hearted step we take toward Him.

The Brave Hearted Chase: Trusting in His Faithfulness

Our Brave Hearted pursuit is not done in our own strength; it is fueled by His faithfulness. As we chase after God, we are reminded that He has been chasing after us long before we ever knew Him. His love is relentless, and He has promised to be with us every Brave Hearted step of the way.

In 1 Corinthians 1:9, Paul reminds us of God's faithful call on our lives:

“God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” – 1 Corinthians 1:9 (NIV)

When we set our hearts on chasing after God, we are not embarking on a lonely journey. We walk with the knowledge that God is not distant; He is with us, calling us closer. This fellowship with Him gives us the courage to keep going, knowing that His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

Embracing the Challenges: Growing Through the Chase

The Brave Hearted chase toward God often comes with obstacles. We might face distractions, trials, or even moments of doubt. But these challenges are not meant to stop us; they are meant to grow us. Every difficulty we face is an opportunity to deepen our Faith and Trust in God.

James 1:2-4 encourages us to consider it pure joy when we face trials:

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” – James 1:2-4 (NIV)

When we face challenges, we can have joy because we know they are shaping us into stronger and more mature followers of Christ. I know this part of the chase is not easy, but with each Brave Hearted step, even in the midst of hardship, is a part of the Brave Hearted chase that will lead us closer to the heart of God.

The Reward: Finding God’s Heart in the Chase

The chase isn’t just about the pursuit—it’s about the relationship we build with God along the way. As we chase after Him, we begin to know Him more deeply. His heart becomes our heart, and His desires become our desires.

Jesus gives us a beautiful promise in Jeremiah 29:13:

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” – Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)

This is the ultimate reward: the closeness, the fellowship, and the Brave Hearted Love we share with God as we chase after Him. The more we seek Him, the more we find Him. The more we chase after His heart, the more we are transformed into His likeness.

A Pause, Pray, Take 30! Brave Hearted Prayer for the Chase:

Let’s take a moment and use the Pause, Pray, Take 30! method to center our hearts and ask for strength and courage to keep pursuing God with all that we are.

Father God, We come before You, full of gratitude for calling us into Your presence. Please give us the strength to pursue You with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength. When life gets challenging, give us the courage to press forward and stay close to Your heart. In those moments, remind us of Your faithfulness and unwavering presence. We trust that as we seek You, You will lead us deeper into Your love. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Conclusion: The Brave Hearted Stepping Forward

Let us remember that the Brave Hearted chase after God is a daily decision. It’s not just a momentary feeling or one-time thing—it’s a life-long pursuit. As Brave Hearted Steppers, we choose to Brave Heartedly walk forward in faith, with hearts full of Brave Hearted Love and courage, knowing that every Brave Hearted step we take brings us closer to the heart of God.

And as we chase after Him, we can be confident that we are not alone. God is with us, guiding us, strengthening us, and transforming us through the journey. Let us keep running with Brave Heartedness, passion, and purpose. The chase is so worth it!!!

"The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves." – Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV)

Stay Brave Hearted, stay faithful, and keep stepping forward in His love.
