Expect the Suddenly: Trusting God's Timing and Brave Hearted Walking in the Overflow by Rev. Maria Guzman

Image
Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, As we reach the final part of our journey in this three-part series, we come to a truth that often tests our patience and faith: God's timing. God is always working, even when we don't see it. His suddenlies never come too early or late; it comes right on time. But in order to walk in the overflow, we must first learn to trust His timing- and that's not always easy. Trusting God's Perfect Timing There are seasons in life where we are waiting for breakthroughs, etc., but it feels like it's taking longer than we hoped for. Think of David: He was anointed to be king, yet he spent years in the wilderness before stepping into the role. He trusted God's timing, and it was in the waiting that God equipped him for the weight of the blessing that would come. Just like David, we too must trust the process. Our waiting seasons are not wasted. They prepare us for the weight of the blessings God wants to pour out. And when the "suddenly...

Expect the Suddenly: Living Expectantly - Postured for the Suddenly (PART 2) by Rev. Maria Guzman

Image
Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, As we continue our journey from Ordinary to Overflow, I want to thank each of you for reflecting on the power of preparedness in Part 1. We saw how the disciples, Joseph, and even our everyday routines can become the stage for God’s sudden move—when our hearts are ready. Now, in Part 2, let’s go deeper into what it means to live expectantly—not just hoping for breakthrough, but posturing ourselves in unwavering faith, ready for the moment when God says, “Now.” Living Expectantly – Postured for the Suddenly Key Scriptures: Ephesians 3:20, Mark 5:25–34 Living expectantly means staying in a posture of faith, even when nothing around you looks different. It’s trusting that God is already moving behind the scenes. His suddenlies aren't surprises to Him, they’re part of His nature. When we position our Brave Hearts with spiritual anticipation, we begin to recognize the small shifts—the divine nudges, open doors, and moments that seem to come out of nowhere...

Expect the Suddenly: Set Apart, Not Set Aside

Image
Expect the Suddenly Life ApplicationšŸ”„: Set Apart, Not Set Aside Reference Bible Verse "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." Romans 8:28 NLT Expect the Suddenly Life Application Brave Hearted Stepper, there is something about "suddenly." It interrupts. It surprises. It demands attention. One moment you're standing in delay, confusion, or what feels like divine silence, and then SUDDENLY, the doors open, the burdens shift, the answer comes. But here's the truth: suddenlies aren't random. They are prepared explosions of purpose released in perfect timing. They happen when heaven knows you're ready, even if you don't feel like it. Romans 8:28 isn't just a verse for comfort, it's a declaration that even in what seems delayed, confusing, or painful, you are being set apart, not set aside. Many Brave Hearted Steppers have been walking throug...

Expect the Suddenly: Glory in the Grind

Image
Expect the Suddenly Life ApplicationšŸ”„: Glory in the Grind Reference Bible Verse "Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people." Colossians 3:23 NLT Expect the Suddenly Life Application Brave Hearted Stepper, God often wraps the extraordinary in the folds of the ordinary. The breakthrough isn't always in the spotlight, it's the quiet consistency, the unnoticed effort, the daily grind. That's where our faith grows. That's where glory hides. Keep showing up with heart. Keep moving with purpose. Heaven honors the hustle when it's surrendered.  Your suddenly, the moment things shift, often shows up through faithfulness in the unseen, unspectacular places. The grind is not wasted. It's where God refines and prepares. Pause, Pray, Take 30! Take 30 seconds (throughout your day) to invite God into your daily rhythm, work, home, errands, etc. Ask Him to show you the glory in the grind. He's already ther...

Expect the Suddenly: Grace to go Again

Image
Expect the Suddenly Life ApplicationšŸ”„: Grace to go Again Reference Bible Verse "Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning." Lamentations 3:23 NLT Expect the Suddenly Life Application Brave Hearted Stepper, delay isn't denial. Failure isn't final. God's mercy meets you fresh each morning, with grace enough to stand, to Brave Hearted step, to go again. Pause, Pray, Take 30! Take 30 seconds (throughout your day) to exhale yesterday, and embrace today's mercy. Rise in grace, and go again, Brave Hearted Stepper! Many Blessings! Rev. Maria Guzman Founder of Brave Hearted Ministry

Expect the Suddenly: Obedience Prepares The Way

Image
Expect the Suddenly Life ApplicationšŸ”„: Obedience Prepares The Way Reference Bible Verse "If you love me, keep my commands." John 14:15 NIV Expect the Suddenly Life Application Brave Hearted Steppers know that breakthrough often begins in the unseen. Sudden moments of God's power and provision often follow quiet, faithful obedience. Even when no one else sees, God sees. It is in your yes to God that prepares the way for what's next. Pause, Pray, Take 30! Take 30 seconds (throughout your day) to pray for Brave Hearted courage to obey quickly and completely, even in the small things. Many Blessings! Rev. Maria Guzman Founder of Brave Hearted Ministry

Expect The Suddenly: The Anointing Breaks It

Image
Expect the Suddenly Life ApplicationšŸ”„: The Anointing Breaks It Reference Bible Verse "In that day the Lord will end the bondage of his people. He will break the yoke of slavery and lift it from their shoulders." Isaiah 10:27 NLT Expect the Suddenly Life Application Brave Hearted Stepper, when God moves, He doesn't hesitate. Chains fall. Burdens lift. Bondages break instantly. The anointing of God carries unstoppable power to destroy anything that's been holding you back. Believe in the sudden freedom! Pause, Pray, Take 30! Take 30 seconds (throughout your day) to pray for God's anointing to break every yoke of oppression, fear, anxiety, discouragement, etc. Ask for His power to move swiftly and completely. Expect freedom in the name of Jesus, Amen! Many Blessings! Rev. Maria Guzman Founder of Brave Hearted Ministry

Happy Father's Day 2025

On this special day, we honor and uplift all fathers and father figures. May the Lord's abundant blessings surround you and your family. May He guard and guide you with His loving presence, grant you His favor and grace, and fill your hearts with His peace. As we reflect on today's Bible verses from Numbers 6:24–26: “May the Lord bless you and keep you; May the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.” We pray these words over you today and always. Many Blessings, Rev. Maria Guzman Founder of Brave Hearted Ministry

Expect the Suddenly: From Ordinary to Overflow: Living Ready for the Unexpected (PART 1) by Rev. Maria Guzman

Image
Hello Brave Hearted Steppers, I pray this theme has blessed your lives as it has mine so far this month! Thank you, Lissette Camacho, for kicking off this month with your blog post! True blessing! As believers, we are called to live with an open heart, expectant of the unexpected. God's promises are often fulfilled in ways we least expected, and His suddenlies can bring us from ordinary to overflow in the blink of an eye. The question is not whether God will move; He is always working, but are we ready to receive when He does? "On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. 2 Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting." Acts 2:1-2 NLT These Bible verses mark one of the many powerful moments in the New Testament. The Holy Spirit shows up suddenly. There was nothing grand about the room they were gathered in. It was just an ordinary day, with ordinary people. ...

Expect The Suddenly: Faith is Fuel

Image
Expect the Suddenly Life ApplicationšŸ”„: Faith is Fuel Reference Bible Verse "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1 NKJV Expect the Suddenly Life Application Brave Hearted Stepper, Faith is like gasoline for your journey. When you feel like you're running low, it's time to refuel. Don't let doubt affect your spark; keep that fire of Faith burning. Even when things look impossible, Faith still makes a way. Pause, Pray, Take 30! Take 30 seconds (throughout your day) to take a moment today and speak life into a situation that feels out of reach. It's not about seeing how it could work; it's about believing God can do what seems impossible. Brave Hearted Stepper, you've got this, and so does He! Many Blessings! Rev. Maria Guzman Founder of Brave Hearted Ministry

Expect The Suddenly: Atmosphere Shifters

Image
Expect the Suddenly Life ApplicationšŸ”„: Atmosphere Shifters Reference Bible Verse "You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden." Matthew 5:14 NLT Expect the Suddenly Life Application Brave Hearted Stepper, wherever you go, you carry the presence of heaven. Your very Brave Hearted steps invite light into dark places and peace into chaos. Pause, Pray, Take 30! Take 30 seconds (throughout your day) to be intentional. Brave Heartedly step into every space - your home, work, a store - with a heart full of love and a spirit anchored in peace. Don't just enter the room -  shift the atmosphere . Let heaven show up through you. You are the light. Shine boldly. Be the shift this world needs. Many Blessings! Rev. Maria Guzman Founder of Brave Hearted Ministry

Expect The Suddenly: Strength in Stillness

Image
Expect the Suddenly Life ApplicationšŸ”„: Strength in Stillness Reference Bible Verse "Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world." Psalm 46:10 NLT Expect the Suddenly Life Application Brave Hearted Stepper, stillness isn't weakness-it's place of deep strength. In a world full of noise and motion, God is inviting you to pause and let Him do the stirring within you. When we quiet ourselves, we make room to hear His voice more clearly and feel His presence more deeply. Pause, Pray, Take 30! Take 30 seconds (throughout your day) for intentional stillness. Please know that it can take more than 30 seconds, but 30 seconds of stillness is a start to more time for intentional stillness. No distractions. Just you and God. Let His presence settle your spirit. Journal what you hear, feel, or simply observe in the quiet. You are Brave Hearted not just when you move, but when you wait with trust (as I said yesterda...

Expect The Suddenly: Bold Faith in Barren Places

Image
Expect the Suddenly Life ApplicationšŸ”„: Bold Faith in Barren Places Reference Bible Verse "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Isaiah 43:19 NIV Expect the Suddenly Life Application Brave Hearted Stepper, true bravery is stepping forward when your surroundings look dry and unchanged. Faith believes God is working - even when you can't see it yet. Pause, Pray, Take 30! Take 30 seconds (throughout your day), find a quiet moment in your wilderness - whatever feels barren in your life - and pray boldly over it. Speak life. Declare God's promise written in His Word: Something new is springing up (in those barren places)! Many Blessings! Rev. Maria Guzman Founder of Brave Hearted Ministry

Expect The Suddenly: Trust and Wait

Image
Expect the Suddenly Life ApplicationšŸ”„: Trust and Wait Reference Bible Verse "For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay." Habakkuk 2:3 NIV Expect the Suddenly Life Application Brave Hearted Stepper, you are not just waiting; you are aligning. God's "suddenly" often follows a season of unseen preparation. Just like the upper room believers in Acts 2, your quiet obedience is setting the stage for divine disruption. Waiting is not wasting; it's training. Every pause is packed with purpose. Pause, Pray, Take 30! Take 30 seconds (throughout your day) and ask God to grow your endurance during the wait. Many Blessings! Rev. Maria Guzman Founder of Brave Hearted Ministry

Expect the Suddenly by Lissette Camacho

“On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.”  Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬, ‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Hello Brave Hearted Steppers! Here we are….in the month of June. Which means that we are officially halfway through our year! I'm not sure how you feel, but the past six months have definitely been a wild ride for me. I've experienced both some wonderful moments and some challenges. However, I am grateful that God has been with me through it all. I am grateful for my Christian friends and support team for their prayers and encouragement on those moments I wanted to quit! That’s why this month’s Bible verse resonates with me, and I hope it touches your heart too. You see, if it wasn’t for God’s presence and the support of my sister’s...

Expect The Suddenly: Language of the Spirit

Image
Expect the Suddenly Life ApplicationšŸ”„: LANGUAGE OF THE SPIRIT Reference Bible Verse "And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words." Romans 8:26 NLT Expect the Suddenly Life Application Brave Hearted Stepper, there are moments when our hearts cry out in ways words cannot express. Sometimes, our deepest prayers come through groans and sighs, a language only heaven understands. Trust that in those quiet, sacred moments, the Holy Spirit is speaking on your behalf. Pause, Pray, Take 30! Take 30 seconds (throughout your day) to pray and allow God to speak through your groaning. He knows your heart's cry even when you cannot find the words. Many Blessings! Rev. Maria Guzman Founder of Brave Hearted Ministry

Expect The Suddenly: Fire Over Fear

Image
Expect the Suddenly Life ApplicationšŸ”„: FIRE OVER FEAR Reference Bible Verse "For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline." 2 Timothy 1:7 NLT Expect the Suddenly Life Application Brave Hearted Stepper, y ou were never meant to walk in fear. You were created to carry fire . Fear flees when holy fire falls . Step boldly. Speak bravely. Live ready to Expect the Suddenly —because when God moves, hesitation has no place.  Let God’s fire consume what fear has tried to control. Let your Brave Hearted courage RISE. Your Brave Heart is not just built to endure—it’s built to ignite! Pause, Pray, Take 30! Take 30 seconds (throughout your day) to pause and pray. Lay every fear at His feet. Expect The Suddenly: Upper Room Expectation

Image

Acts 2:1 NLT Expect the Suddenly Life Application In Acts 2:1, the disciples gathered in unity, not knowing exactly what would happen, but expecting something from God. The "upper room" was more than a place—it was a posture: courageous faith in uncertainty. Brave Hearted Steppers today are called to do the same—gather, wait, and trust that God will show up in power. Gather with expectation. Pray with unity and purpose.  Move when the Spirit moves.  Pause, Pray, Take 30! Take 30 seconds (throughout your day) to pray for a heart that waits boldly, expects deeply, and obeys immediately—just like those in the upper room. Many Blessings! Rev. Maria Guzman Founder of Brave Hearted Ministry
