Expect the Suddenly: Trusting God's Timing and Brave Hearted Walking in the Overflow by Rev. Maria Guzman

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers,

As we reach the final part of our journey in this three-part series, we come to a truth that often tests our patience and faith: God's timing. God is always working, even when we don't see it. His suddenlies never come too early or late; it comes right on time. But in order to walk in the overflow, we must first learn to trust His timing- and that's not always easy.

Trusting God's Perfect Timing

There are seasons in life where we are waiting for breakthroughs, etc., but it feels like it's taking longer than we hoped for. Think of David: He was anointed to be king, yet he spent years in the wilderness before stepping into the role. He trusted God's timing, and it was in the waiting that God equipped him for the weight of the blessing that would come.

Just like David, we too must trust the process. Our waiting seasons are not wasted. They prepare us for the weight of the blessings God wants to pour out. And when the "suddenly" comes, it often comes with a purpose that is bigger than just our personal gain. It's not just for us, but for the blessing of those around us. The overflow of what God give us is meant to spill into the lives of others.

The Widow's Overflow

One of the most powerful examples of trusting God's timing and walking in the overflow is the story of the widow in 1 Kings 17:8-16. She had nothing left, only a little flour and oil, but she gave it to Elijah in obedience. What happened next wasn't just a provision for her own needs. It became an overflow that sustained not only her but also her son and the prophet Elijah.

This is the beauty of God's overflow. It multiplies. It doesn't just meet our needs, but it becomes a blessing to those around us as well. In the widow's obedience, her small act of faith became a suddenly moment.

Living Ready for the Overflow

God's timing may not always align with our timeline, but His plans are always better. So, what does it look like to "live ready" for the overflow? IT's about staying expectant and being prepared for God to move at any moment.

Reflection Questions

1. Are you trusting God's timing, even when you don't see the full picture?
2. How can you steward your overflow to bless others?

Remember, your overflow isn't just for your benefit. It's meant to impact the lives of others. Just like the disciples' encounter on Pentecost launched a worldwide movement, your "suddenly" is meant to bring lasting change to the world around you.

As we close out this series, Brave Hearted Steppers, I encourage you to commit to living ready:

1. Ready to believe that God can do the unexpected.
2. Ready to trust that His timing is perfect, even in the waiting.
3. Ready to move when God calls you to action, prepare to steward the overflow

God's suddenlies are coming! Are you positioned to receive them? Are you prepared to walk in the overflow?

This week, spend time with God, asking Him to reveal any areas in your Brave Heart where you've stopped expecting Him to move. Pray for a renewed Brave Hearted faith, a Brave Heart that is watchful, and a Brave Hearted spirit that lives with expectancy.

Thank you again for joining me on this Expect the Suddenly journey through our "From the Ordinary to the Overflow" series. I pray that you Brave Heartedly walk forward with a Brave Heart that's ready for the overflow that God is bringing into your life. Stay Brave Hearted, stay expectant, and keep Brave Hearted stepping boldly into the unexpected.
