Devotional: God Strengthens My Steps, Walking in His Strength by Rev. Maria Guzman
“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 (NLT)
Hello Brave Hearted Steppers,
Some steps are easy to take. Others require more courage than we think we have.
There are days when we feel strong, confident, and ready to face whatever comes our way. But there are also days when we feel tired, discouraged, or overwhelmed. We may wonder how we are going to keep moving forward when our strength feels so small.
The beautiful truth is that God never asked us to walk in our own strength.
When our strength runs out, His does not.
When we feel weak, He remains strong.
When we don’t know how to take the next step, He gives us the grace and strength we need for that moment.
God never promised that every step would be easy, but He has promised to be with us every step of the way. His presence gives us courage, and His strength carries us when we cannot carry ourselves.
Sometimes we try to handle everything on our own, believing we need to have enough strength for today, tomorrow, and every challenge ahead. But God isn’t asking us to carry tomorrow’s burdens today. He simply invites us to trust Him with the step that is right in front of us.
This week, don’t focus on how weak you feel.
Ask God to strengthen your next step.
Maybe your next step is to keep trusting.
Maybe it is to keep praying.
Maybe it is to keep going even when you feel tired.
Maybe it is simply to rest in His presence and allow Him to renew your strength.
Whatever your next step may be, remember that you do not walk alone. The God who has carried you this far will continue to strengthen you for every step ahead.
Brave Hearted Step
Before you begin your day, pray:
“Lord, thank You for being my strength when I feel weak. Help me to stop relying on my own abilities and to depend completely on You. Strengthen me for the step You have placed before me today. Give me the courage to keep walking by faith, knowing that You are with me every step of the way. In the name of Jesus, Amen.”
Remember: You don’t have to be strong enough for everything. God is your strength, and He will give you exactly what you need for each step.
Let’s take one Brave Hearted step at a time.
