Walk forward with Brave Hearted faith by Maria Guzman
Hello Brave Hearted Steppers,
"For we walk by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7
The Winter season has come and gone, and since about mid March, we have been in the Spring season until about mid June. One of my favorite things I enjoy is walking, breathing in the fresh air, and the breeze that comes with the spring season.
One day as I was walking to the corner of the street that I live on and as I walking back home, I started to think to myself, which foot do I start walking on? I never thought to ask myself this question, but I did. Ha ha! I start walking with my right foot. Which foot do you start walking on? I think this question will have you getting up from your seat and finding out for yourself. Ha ha!
After this funny thought about my physical walk, I started to think of my spiritual walk. My spiritual walk consists of walking forward. There is no benefit at all to walking backward. It will only take me toward my past. Who really wants to go back to the past? I know I don't. Walking forward has many benefits. You can focus your eyes on what lies ahead. You can see (with caution) the stumbling blocks and use the detour road(s) Jesus provides, as He will always provide you a way out of a situation.
Since I have been talking about walking, Peter (from the Bible) came to mind when Jesus walks on water toward the boat, and Peter asks to walk on water toward Him. Peter used his Brave Hearted faith to trust Jesus and walk on water. However, when he looked down to see with possible fear and doubt in his eyes as he walked, he started to sink into the water. That is why the scripture says, "For we walk by faith, not by sight," really came to mind.
I thought about this scripture and what it means in my Brave Hearted Lifestyle. It means to walk Brave Heartedly, trusting in God's promises for my life, even if I don't see them yet. I will keep walking forward! All Peter had to do was keep walking forward with his Brave Hearted faith and focus his eyes on Jesus (our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ). We all should learn from this example. Walk forward in Brave Hearted faith and focus on the Lord!
Walking by faith, not by sight, is a process. Always remember Jesus did not leave us alone to fend for ourselves. He left the Holy Spirit to guide us through the process. Thank you, Lord!
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I pray for all the Brave Hearted Steppers who have read this blog post. May they increase their Brave Hearted faith and not lose sight of the purposes and promises you have for each of them. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Amen🙌🙌
