Release the grip of what you cannot control through prayer.

 

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers,

Recently, I heard the phrase "Prayer changes everything." and brought to mind a song in Spanish (Ora, Declara, Alaba - https://youtu.be/839wKAw3328) that means (Pray, Declare, Praise) that has impacted my prayer life tremendously. 

Prayer can change everything when we release the grip of what we cannot control by praying, declaring, and praising through prayer and allowing God to do what He needs to do in the midst of your prayer requests.

I stated above, "Release the grip." Grip means to take a firm hold of; grasping it tightly. Release means to move, act or flow freely. There are times we may grip onto a situation or circumstance because it's too close to our hearts and with our carnal eyes feel that we can do something about it, hold it tight, and as we squeeze, the frustrations, stress, and emotions that arise, and feel out of control. That is why we need to release the situation or circumstance to God (1 Peter 5:7) and allow Him to move, act and flow freely for Him to do what He needs to do for His glory. 

Jesus should be at the center of your life, your marriage (if applicable), your children (if applicable), your place of employment (if applicable), your ministry (if applicable), your everything. That means He should have control over everything. I ask you, do you have Jesus at the center? (Jesus at the center - https://youtu.be/KEmRHP-86Bo).

Always remember, God knows everything about us including those moments when we try to control things and He is saying, "If only you can TRUST ME and allow me to control it and handle it, it would be so much easier."

The Bible says in (Matthew 11:28-30) that His yoke is easy and His burden is light and yet there are days where we go by that scripture and doubt that we can cast on Him what we cannot control, if only we can release the grip...Releasing the grip on what we cannot control is not easy...BUT with Jesus at the Center, it can be done. It might take one try, two tries, or even more than that, but keep in mind when you do release the grip and allow God to take control of all things, amazing things will happen! 

Lord Jesus, I am praying for each and every person reading this post and myself included, and declare the release of the grip of any situation or circumstance that we may be holding tight instead of letting go and letting God take control and handle it and praise you for all that you are going to do as soon as we do so. I ask you in the name of Jesus, Amen!
