BRAVE HEARTED LOVE by Lissette Camacho
Hello Brave Hearted Steppers!
It’s February and love is in the air! Why? Because It's part of our nature to desire celebrating our loved ones on special occasions marked on the calendar.
Yet, the true beauty lies in the love of Christ, We don't need to wait until February for the Lord to show us His love.
He shows His love for us every single day. With each new dawn, His mercy is refreshed.
“The Lord can always be trusted to show mercy each morning.” Lamentations 3:23 CEV
The truth is revealed in His Word. We honor love because He loved us first.
“We love each other because he loved us first.” 1 John 4:19 NLT
The key distinction between our love for others and God's love for us is that His love remains unchangeable.
“Jesus Christ never changes! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 CEV
As human beings, we often find it difficult to continue loving others after we have experienced betrayal, pain, or disappointment, but the love of God remains the same.
His love remains constant even when we disappoint Him. It is simply part of His nature to continue loving us.
“‘I am the Lord and I do not change." Malachi 3:6 EASY
The Lord doesn’t wait on special calendar dates to celebrate His love towards us. The Bible tells us that God is love.
“So we know the kind of love that God has for us. We believe that God has put that love in us. God's nature is love.” 1 John 4:16 EASY
Let us remember to show love to others every day, just as Jesus loves us. The greatest gift you can offer someone is your love and care. Showing them Jesus through you because He loved us first.
Love holds such significance for God that He enshrined it in His Word. In fact, among all the commandments found in the Bible, love stands out as a central theme.
He stated that loving God and loving others are the two most important commandments.
Scripture says:
“Jesus replied to him, ‘You should love the Lord your God completely: Love him with all your mind. Love him with all that you are. Love him in all that you think. This is the greatest command and the most important of all God's laws. The second command is also important, like the first one. You should love other people as much as you love yourself.”
Matthew 22:37-39 EASY
So, as you share your love with others—remember this. In Christ there is no partiality.
“Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism.” Acts of the Apostles 10:34 NLT
That God selflessly gave us His only begotten Son. Therefore, we should also love others unconditionally. Showing our gratitude for His sacrifice.
As you embrace the spirit of love this February, remember the depth of God's love for you. Let the Holy Spirit guide you in your journey of appreciation and connection.
In simple terms: Love God—Love people.
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.” John 3:16 GNBUK
