Spring into Action by Lissette Camacho

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers!

May is here at last! The first thought that springs to mind is the enchanting beauty of spring.

It’s wonderful to see how barren trees can suddenly burst into bloom, transforming into beautiful sights for us to enjoy.

You may be curious about the connection between the blossoming of trees and this month's scripture.

When I witness the barren trees bursting into bloom, I'm filled with thoughts of the Lord and the splendor of His creation.

It's incredible how He empowers them to thrive and flourish with such elegance.

I can't help but reflect on how He expects us to approach everything we do for Him with excellence.

When we concentrate on the tasks that He gives us, and we approach them with the same dedication as if we were serving the Lord, those efforts will blossom and thrive.

Just as God allows the trees and flowers to bloom for our enjoyment, we too should strive to positively impact the lives of others.

At times, we may overlook what God is doing because we become too fixated on the negatives.

For instance, He might have put you in a job that doesn’t suit you, or perhaps He has us in a relationship we find unfulfilling, leading us to question Him.

However, sometimes God places us in uncomfortable situations or surrounds us with people who are difficult to connect with to change things within us.

It’s not meant to harm us or to punish us; rather, amidst those challenges, He is orchestrating something profound within us.

His Word tells us that He is the Vine and we are the branches, and that without Him, we can do nothing.

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” John‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

How can we expect to grow if we aren’t pruned? Similar to the barren trees and flowers that flourish beautifully each season, growth requires careful cultivation.

Feeling empty can be unsettling, but it's often a sign that God is cleansing our hearts of certain things.

He is shaping us each day more closely into His image, and at times, just as trees and flowers wither and then blossom with fresh leaves, we too undergo transformation.

Trees remain steadfast in their place, patiently awaiting the passage of time. They flourish once more, displaying their beauty. Nature serves as a testament to the grandeur of God's creation.

If you're currently facing challenges at work or in your interactions with others, remember this: the most effective step you can take is to be still and wait on the Lord.

As you wait, embrace your current position and whatever task you’re engaged in. Approach it with a sense of reverence, as if each moment is a meaningful opportunity.

I've certainly experienced my fair share of pruning, and it can be painful! I've found myself in work environments that I believed were less than perfect—at least, that's what I thought. But God was changing me.

In those moments, I came to understand that if I truly wanted to overcome challenges and deepen my relationship with the Lord, I had to stand firm.

As I waited on the Lord, I began to grasp a deeper understanding that regardless of where He has positioned me or what tasks I undertake, His purpose remains.

Every opportunity presented to me is a moment bestowed by God to contribute to His Kingdom.

Serving a perfect God means that all our actions should be performed as if we are doing them for Him.

Once you truly embrace that truth, you too will flourish like the trees and flowers that blossom in God’s perfect timing and season.

May all that you do moving forward be done with excellence for our King. In Jesus' name, Amen.

God bless you,
