Rise and Roar: No More Hiding: It's Time to Brave Heartedly Walk like You're Sent by Rev. Maria Guzman

Hello Brave Hearted Steppers,

Have you ever felt you are constantly shrinking back - second guessing your voice, your gifts, or your purpose? You feel the nudge of the Holy Spirit to speak, to move, to show up - but fear paralyzes you. It whispers, "What if I fail?", "What will they think?", or worse, "You are not enough."

But here is the truth, Brave Hearted Stepper, you were never meant to hide. You were meant to RISE. You were called to ROAR.

Bold as a Lion by Walking in Your Righteous Identity

Let's go back to the Bible verse used for this month's series, "The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion."Proverbs 28:1 NIV

This is not just words on a page or however you read the Word of God; this is your inheritance as a child of God. When you've been made righteous through Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21), boldness isn't something you strive for; it's something you carry.

Notice the contrast in this Bible verse: the wicked run even when no one is chasing them, but the righteous? They stand firm, walk forward, and live with lion-hearted (Brave Hearted) confidence. Why? Because they know Who sent them.

Brave Hearted Stepper, you are not just casually stepping into life's moments; you are being sent into them. Sent with healing. Sent with truth. Sent with peace. Sent with a voice that carries the weight and authority of Heaven.

When You Want to Shrink, Remember This

Think about Moses at the burning bush (Exodus 3-4). God called him to confront Pharaoh and lead Israel out of Egypt, BUT Moses gave every excuse in the book.

  • "Who am I to go?" (Exodus 3:11)

  • "What if they don’t believe me?" (Exodus 4:1)

  • "I’m not eloquent." (Exodus 4:10)

Sound familiar?

But God didn’t ask Moses to be confident in himself—He asked Moses to trust in Who was sending him.

“I will be with you.” – Exodus 3:12

Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is show up anyway, shaky voice and all, because OBEDIENCE is louder than fear.

Your Boldness Opens Doors (For Others Too)

Every time you take a bold (Brave Hearted) step in the Spirit, whether it's forgiving someone, starting something that God put in your heart to do, praying out loud, or standing for truth, you become a doorway of Brave Hearted courage for someone else.

“And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…” – Revelation 12:11

Brave Hearted Steppers, someone is waiting on the other side of your testimony. Your story, your “yes,” your Brave Hearted courage—it shakes chains off of other people.

Practical Boldness: You Can Do This Week

You don’t have to wait for a burning bush moment to start walking in boldness. Try one of these this week:

  • Send the text to encourage someone who’s been on your heart.

  • Pray out loud even if your voice trembles.

  • Speak the truth in love when it's easier to stay silent.

  • Say yes to the opportunity that scares you—in Brave Hearted Faith, not fear.

  • Show up where God’s calling you, even if it doesn’t make total sense yet.

Your ROAR is NEEDED

You’re not just surviving this life. You are a sent one—a kingdom carrier, a Spirit-filled ambassador of Heaven. Every Brave Hearted step you take in BOLD OBEDIENCE is a ROAR in the face of fear and doubt.

So today, RISE up.
Shake off shame.
Take the Brave Hearted step.
ROAR BOLDLY. Because boldness isn’t pride—it’s proof of the One lives inside of you.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

LET'S PRAY

Father God, we come before you, giving thanks for this opportunity to hear you through the words of this blog post. Thank you for calling us out of hiding and into holy boldness. Thank you that we don't rely on our own strength, because your Spirit lives in us. Forgive us for the times we let fear speak louder than our faith, for the moments we shrank back when you were calling us forward. Today, we say yes again. Yes to walking like we are sent. Yes to speaking with boldness, even when we feel unsure. Yes to trusting that You are with us wherever we go. May we walk confidently in Brave Hearted courage that comes from knowing we are Yours. Help us remember that boldness doesn't mean being loud, it means being led. And when fear creeps up, remind us that the LION OF JUDAH is with us every Brave Hearted step of the way. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Many Blessings,
