BRAVE BOLDNESS: Destined for More: Dare to Believe by Pastora Yolanda Hernandez
Hello Brave Hearted Steppers,
As I was thinking of writing this blog, immediately my granddaughter Alessandra came to mind because a week ago, she was memorizing the verse of the bible that states “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14”.
This is a verse that shouts out who we are in Christ Jesus, and we believe it in the moment, but there is something inside each of us that longs for more. When we look, it’s not more possessions, it’s not more applause, but more of God’s purpose at work in our lives. The word of God reminds us: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).
We are God’s workmanship, and not only that, but we are created in Christ Jesus. You are not an accident; you are wonderfully made by the Lord our God. Therefore, you are not defined by past mistakes, failures, or the opinions of others. You were designed with a purpose, chosen for a mission and fully equipped with everything that you might need to be able to fulfill your purpose gracefully.
So, you might ask yourself than what is the barrier, the obstacle that does not permit me to take that step of faith. Let me make it clear once again, it is not circumstances that surround you, but belief. It is believing what the Lord, our Heavenly Father, says about you as his child, his chosen one.
Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1). I understand our natural vision is set on what we see in front of us, but we must put our faith in action and see how God sees us. The word says fearfully and wonderfully made. Do you believe it?
Dare to believe means stepping beyond comfort zones and choosing to trust God when logic says it’s impossible. It means refusing to let fear or doubt silence what God has spoken over your life.
You are designed for more. To live as someone destined for more means adopting a different mindset that requires believing that His plans are for good, trusting that He works all things together for good, and knowing that what He began in you, He will complete. It also means surrounding yourself with voices of faith. People who will encourage you to strive and take that step of faith. Remember the enemy’s goal is to isolate you, to make you think you’re alone in your struggle. But when you walk with others who believe, your faith is strengthened.
Finally, living as someone destined for more means surrender. Our “more” is not about achieving our own dreams but embracing God’s. His plans exceed anything we could imagine. Sometimes they look different than what we envisioned, but they are always better.
Today, dare to believe. Believe that the promises of God are for you. Believe that the failures of your past cannot cancel the future HE HAS PREPARED.
The story God is writing over your life is bigger than your presents struggle. Dare to believe and watch Him do abundantly more than you could ask or ever imagine.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to see myself through your eyes. Give me the courage to believe your promises and the strength to walk in them. I know I am destined for more, and I will step in faith, I will dare to believe for more in You. Amen.
Be blessed,
Pastora Yolanda Hernandez
