BRAVE BOLDNESS: You bare the marks of Jesus by Loretta Muñoz Edwards
Blessings to all the Brave Hearted Steppers out there,
When God called us, each of us obtained different gifts that were designed to be used for the purpose God placed us here. But the enemy uses people to rip you apart, he sends people that doubt you, people that think less about you, people that take away your desires. The enemy even uses your own mind to steal your voice and your passion.
There is a point in our lives as believers where we have to be brave. The type of bravery that perseveres through anxiety, fear, and sadness. The type of bravery that surpasses any form of accusation and guilt. The type of bravery that screams, lose everything but don’t lose God.
In my darkest moments, I had to put my brave face on but then completely fall apart in front of the presence of God. Feeling vulnerable and not understanding why God gave me those gifts. Despite everything I was going through, I always knew to go back to Jesus at the end of the day. The God who revealed himself to me when I was six is still the same God today. His presence became a place of dwelling for my aching soul. It was a place full of promises both accomplished and still to come. It took true bravery to trust God. To see myself living the same nightmare over and over again, to be hurt multiple times, to be deceived by those who vowed to be there for me. But I had to stand up and put on the armor of God. I noticed this fight is very much a spiritual fight.
Whether you experienced trauma, abuse, or hatred for simply serving the Lord. In these moments, I want you to remember what Paul said in Galatians 6:17.
“From now on let no one trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus." Galatians 6:17
Paul suffered a lot, he was referring to all the scars and beatings he received in order for all Christian’s to read what the Holy Spirit placed in his heart. He revealed the truth of Jesus Christ in the midst of great persecution and hatred. He wrote nearly half of the New Testament and because of his bravery, today we have his letters in our hand. His teachings today founded the core values of all the Christian’s around the world. This man started a movement that would have no end.
Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, We adore your majesty, you are holy, you are all that I need. Thank you for giving me a reason to live. I ask that you help me live a life worthy of your calling, help me fight this spiritual battle and help me be brave to do what you called me to do. You made a space in the table for me to sit in when I didn’t deserve it. And today, I give you everything. Lord, please extend your healing hand to anyone experiencing any form of trauma or abuse or even hatred. Lord place your words in their lips as they can speak your truth. And surround them by people who need to hear your truth. Make us brave ! I rebuke the spirit of suicide and any oppression of darkness over Gods people in the name of Jesus. I break the chains that are tying your hands up and shutting your mouth in the name of Jesus. If you are a writer then today you’ll begin to write, if you are a singer today you will begin to worship, if you are an evangelist then today you will start preaching, if you are a teacher then today you will start teaching. Therefore I rebuke all the lies of the enemy that live in your mind, and I cancel any hurtful words said against you and your calling. In Jesus' name. Amen!
Peace and Blessings,
