Brave Blogs | Brave Positioning: Positioned Before You Proceed by Rev. Maria Guzman
Hello Brave Hearted Steppers,
There is a difference between moving and being positioned.
Sometimes we feel the urge to rush ahead—to make decisions quickly, to fix what feels uncertain, or to step into what’s next before we’ve fully settled where God has us. But Brave Positioning reminds us that before God often calls us to proceed, He first calls us to be still enough to be placed.
Positioning is not passive.
It is an intentional surrender.
It is allowing God to align our hearts before He assigns our Brave Hearted steps.
Sometimes positioning looks like waiting.
Sometimes it looks like returning.
Sometimes it looks like letting go of what once felt necessary so we can receive what is now needed.
In the Bible, we often see God positioning His people before pivotal moments—placing them exactly where they need to be, even when they don’t fully understand why.
David was positioned in the pasture before the palace.
Esther was positioned in the palace before the petition.
The disciples were positioned in the upper room before Pentecost.
God understands the power of placement.
And perhaps that is the invitation for us, too—to trust the God who knows exactly where to place us.
Being Brave Heartedly positioned means asking:
- Lord, where are You placing me in this season?
- What are You trying to align within me?
- Am I resisting where You have positioned me because it looks different than what I expected?
- Can I trust that Your placement is purposeful, even if it feels uncomfortable?
Sometimes Brave Positioning means standing where God has called you.
Sometimes it means remaining where He planted you.
Sometimes it means returning with new perspective and renewed purpose.
Positioning is not about status.
It is about surrender.
Not striving.
Alignment.
Not control.
Trust.
A Brave Hearted Stepper understands that where God places you is never random. Every pause, every transition, every hidden preparation is part of His loving design.
Before asking God for the next open door, perhaps we first pause and ask whether our hearts are fully positioned to walk through it.
Brave Reflection
Where is God positioning you today—and how can you posture your heart to receive His placement with trust?
“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” — Proverbs 16:9
May we be Brave Hearted enough not only to move when He says go—but to be still when He says, stay here a little longer.
Many Blessings,
